Fiddling Workshop - Scottish Jigs
You're invited to an online Scottish fiddling workshop on Saturday, June 20th, 2020, 11:00 am - 12:15 pm MDT.
Attend from your home--all that's needed is an internet-connected device (computer, tablet, or smartphone). Tunes will be taught by ear at a late beginner to intermediate level, and will include ornaments and bowing techniques (sheet music , suggested listening). No registration is required; donations are appreciated but please attend even if you are unable to donate.
This time I'll be teaching a couple of jigs:
1--The Hills of Glenorchy, which can double as an air! (I'll teach it both ways)
2--Mrs. McGee
The workshop will be live-streamed on YouTube at my channel, Fiddling Fossilist, at this link.
Go to the link a few minutes before 11:00 am on June 20th. We'll be live streaming from there. If you have trouble with the link, search for my YouTube channel, 'Fiddling Fossilist,' and look for the live stream.
Use the chat sidebar to ask questions and comment during the livestream. In order to participate in the chat (which is completely optional), you'll need to log in to your Google account (for example, a Gmail account). You'll be able to see and hear me, but I won't be able to see or hear you, except for what you write in the chat. Feel free to ask questions! I will be monitoring the chat during the workshop for questions and comments. Note: you can watch the livestream without logging in to a Google account. The livestream will be recorded and available for viewing on my YouTube channel a few hours after the workshop, so you'll be able to go back and review the tunes or watch in case you were unable to view the workshop during the livestream.
Hope to see you there!
